Committee

Carol Amouyel Kent elected first woman president of OUSP

OUSP committee members elected Carol Amouyel Kent (St Hilda’s, St Antony’s) as their new president. Carol had served three years as secretary of the society. She is the first woman to hold this post. Among her objectives for her presidency are to grow the society, attract more younger members and increase the number and variety of events.

The 2017 AGM held on 22 February also saw the re-election of Martin Robinson (Oriel) to the committee, where he will again oversee finances as treasurer of the society. Line Benaderette (Merton) and Roger Thorn (Exeter) were also re-elected. New members voted on to the committee were John Farr (St John’s) and Andrew Lloyd (Worc), the latter taking over as secretary from Carol.
