The Death of Polling ?

Dinner at the Sénat

Henri Wallard is Chairman in France of the polling institute IPSOS ; and Global Chairman of Ipsos Public Affairs Service Line.

Invented in the 1930's in the USA, political polls have come under strong criticism in the past decade, for their perceived unreliability – think of Brexit or of the election of Donald Trump – as well as for the undue influence they are sometimes accused of exerting on voters and the media.

With the French presidential election just a few weeks away, Henri Wallard will both discuss the controversies of polling and enlighten us on the latest methodologies to improve forecasts.

He will present his outlook on the ongoing presidential race.

Welcome apéritif from 7 pm, followed by a 3-course dinner.

Discounted rate for under-30's.
